Malaysian Chemical Trailer Overturns in Songkhla Driver Badly Injured
A Malaysian-registered tanker lorry carrying chemicals overturned on a road in Songkhla’s Sadao district on October 6, trapping the driver inside the wreckage. Rescue crews used cutting equipment for about an hour to extricate the unidentified Malaysian man, who was found unconscious and seriously injured. He was rushed to Sadao Hospital for emergency treatment while authorities investigate the cause of the crash.
On October 6 at 7:00 p.m., a Malaysian-registered trailer lorry carrying chemicals lost control and overturned on the new checkpoint road in Samnak Kam subdistrict, Sadao district, Songkhla province. The driver, a Malaysian man estimated to be around 50 years old, became trapped inside the cab as the vehicle’s steel structure crushed him. Rescue workers from Samnak Kam and the Pathong Thuetham unit spent about an hour using cutting equipment and lighting to free him, finding him unconscious and seriously injured before transferring him to Sadao Hospital for urgent care. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
