To provide alternatives avoiding flooded areas, the M6 motorway between Bang Pa-in and Hin Kong will be open for free travel in both directions from October 6 to 11, or until the situation improves. On October 6, 2026, the Department of Highways, following the Transport Ministry’s policy to ease public hardship from flooding, launched a trial service on intercity Highway No. 6 (M6), Bang Pa-in to Nakhon Ratchasima route, covering the Bang Pa-in–Hin Kong segment both ways. The trial runs from 6:00 p.m. today until midnight on October 11, or until conditions normalize, with the highways department monitoring closely to adjust management and lessen travel impacts. As the M6 is still being prepared for full operation, the department advises travelers to plan trips, stay cautious, and obey traffic signs and officer instructions for safety. For more travel information, call the Department of Highways hotline 1586, press 6, free on all networks 24/7, or check traffic updates via DOH Highway Radio at https://www.highwaytraffic.go.th/radio.
