Man Allegedly Drunk Stabs Father at Gas Station; Son Joins Fight

Police in Pak Kret received a report at 8 p.m. on September 10 of a serious stabbing at a gas station in Ban Mai subdistrict, Pak Kret district, Nonthaburi province. Officers and volunteer rescue workers found a 24-year-old man named Sitthichoke with six stab wounds to his back, torso, and arms. He was bleeding heavily and gasping for breath. After initial first aid, he was transferred to Chonprasit Pak Kret Hospital.

Police arrested five men at the scene, including Wichaiset, 42, and his 16-year-old son Bas. Officers recovered a short-bladed knife and a folding knife. Three additional suspects remain under investigation.

During questioning, Wichaiset stated that Sitthichoke had ridden a motorcycle to the gas station to see his girlfriend while Wichaiset was working there. Sitthichoke appeared intoxicated and started trouble before driving away. Wichaiset then called his son, and when Sitthichoke returned with a knife, Bas arrived at the station with food for his father. Seeing his father being attacked, Bas confronted Sitthichoke, and the two exchanged knife blows.

Bas told police his father had called saying he was being stabbed. Bas invited friends to help but did not find Sitthichoke initially and went home. Later, he returned to deliver food to his father and witnessed the attack. In anger, Bas used his own knife against Sitthichoke, claiming they had never met before and did not know why Sitthichoke had a grudge against his father.

Another suspect, Aphisit, 24, stated he worked with Wichaiset. When Sitthichoke rode up starting trouble, they argued. Sitthichoke drove away but returned with a knife and stabbed Wichaiset on the cheek. When Aphisit asked if they were involved, Wichaiset's son arrived, saw his father bleeding, and began stabbing Sitthichoke in return. Aphisit said he did not know Sitthichoke and had no prior dispute with him.

All five suspects have been taken to Pak Kret Police Station for further legal proceedings.
