Nakhon Ratchasima — A 54-year-old man drowned in a reservoir while attempting to set fish traps during rain and cold weather. Kraburi Police received a report of a drowning at a water retention basin in Mab Ta Ko En subdistrict, Kraburi district. Officers coordinated with rescue personnel from Hook 31 Foundation to recover the body of Khla, a resident of Chamni district in Buriram province, found floating face-down near an overflow spillway. He was wearing only red shorts and carried buoyant foam pipes used to support fish traps. Investigators found no signs of injury or struggle. Police believe he entered the water to prepare fishing traps in the traditional manner, but cold weather and rain caused his muscles to cramp, leaving him unable to save himself. His family did not object to the cause of death and declined an autopsy, so authorities proceeded with standard procedures before returning the body for religious rites.
