Nakhon Si Thammarat Orders Investigation Into Doctor's X-Ray System Complaint

The Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Health Office has ordered an investigation into a viral video showing a doctor's frustration over X-ray film access. A Facebook user posted the clip with a caption stating: "At Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital, when the doctor tried to examine patients, there were no X-ray images in the system. The doctor could not access them, and staff were scheduled to come since morning. By noon, no one showed up, claiming to be in another province. People had to wait because of the relevant staff. Thank you, doctor, for protecting the public."

In response, Dr. Sutthipoj Chayanattpong, the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Public Health Officer, explained that he had contacted Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital management. Preliminary findings indicate the issue stems from patient data migration during a system upgrade designed to improve efficiency. However, he acknowledged that management should have communicated better with medical staff and relevant personnel to prevent misunderstanding. He stated that an additional inspection will be conducted to maintain public confidence.

Following the video's circulation on social media, the Provincial Health Officer has ordered a committee to investigate and verify the facts. The hospital director is currently attending urgent official business in another province. Once he returns, a full investigation will be conducted, and findings will be disclosed to the public. The officer noted that further details will be announced once all facts are confirmed.
