Thai Science Museum Wins International Creative Award
Thailand's National Science Museum won an international award for its annual science fair, recognized for using interactive activities to engage youth and the public in exploring science and technology.
The National Science Museum of Thailand (NSM) has won the ASPAC Creative Science Communication Award 2026 at the Asia Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centres Conference 2026, held at Impact Forum in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi province. The award recognizes NSM's National Science and Technology Fair, Thailand's largest annual science event held each August during National Science Day, for its outstanding work in communicating science through diverse interactive activities that inspire youth and the public to explore science, technology, and innovation.
Suwarong Wongsiree, Acting Director of NSM, stated that the award reflects the museum's commitment to developing world-class science communication. The winning project met strict international judging criteria including scientific accuracy, creativity, effective communication, audience engagement, and practical application of knowledge. He added that this success marks another significant step for NSM in elevating Thailand's science communication to the international stage and reinforces its leadership role in inspiring learning and fostering international collaboration among science museums and centres.
