Nueypun Pledges to Continue Late Uncle's Projects

At the Bumblebee Group's election coordination center on Ratchapruek Road in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi Province, Nueypun Yenprasert announced his victory in the race for Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization chair. Nueypun is the grandson of Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert, the former five-term chair of the organization. With more than 50 percent of ballots counted, Nueypun held a commanding lead of approximately 20,000 votes over Dechrat Sukgamnerd, the Pheu Thai Party candidate. Nueypun said he wanted to assure his uncle, Pol. Col. Thongchai, that he and the Bumblebee Group had succeeded and that his uncle need not worry. He pledged that all projects his uncle had built for the people of Nonthaburi would be continued in full. When asked if he had any message for his rival from Pheu Thai, Nueypun said his team had campaigned continuously on the ground and that he preferred to conduct himself straightforwardly, accepting the election results with graciousness. With over 60 percent of votes counted, Nueypun had received 118,456 votes while Dechrat had received 85,276 votes.
