On September 14 at Parliament, Speaker Sopon Saramutt and Secretary-General of the House of Representatives Sirot Patthanpun, along with four engineers from the Department of Public Works and Urban Planning, inspected the basement-level cafeteria following the collapse of two ceiling panels on September 13. The investigation found the main structural frame to be intact and unaffected. The fallen sections were gypsum ceiling boards that became compromised by moisture resulting from temperature fluctuations in the air-conditioning system, which generated condensation that dripped onto the affected area. Repairs have been completed, and engineers have upgraded the bolts to a larger size to reinforce the ceiling's strength.
