On September 13, 2569 (2026), Phumi Tharm Vejjayachai, a senior For Thai party leader and former deputy prime minister and interior minister, posted on X stating that Som has no right to make demands on the party during government formation talks. If the party had given Chai Gaksem support to dissolve parliament immediately instead of waiting four months, the Khao Kradong and Hua Suan cases would have been resolved within a month. However, Som declined to cooperate, instead allowing the Democrat party to form government. Tharm noted that he had previously warned both cases would vanish if the party pursued that path, and questioned why Som now makes demands on the party after rejecting the opportunity to prevent them.
