Po Tek Tung Foundation Grants Scholarships to Thai Students
The Po Tek Tung Foundation awarded scholarships and final-year grants to 265 deserving but financially disadvantaged students from five Northeastern provinces, with Khon Kaen as the distribution center. The initiative, supported by local officials and the Khon Kaen Charitable Foundation, allocated over 2.25 million baht for the regional round and brings the foundation’s total educational support for 2026 to nearly 17.9 million baht.
The Po Tek Tung Foundation, under the leadership of Nipon Leelasithorn and with executives Arun Totwat, Siriporn Krajangla, and Pitakphanthon Thukchit, traveled to Khon Kaen to hand out primary-level scholarships and final-year grants to 265 students from 53 schools across five Northeastern provinces—Maha Sarakham, Kalasin, Buriram, and Chaiyaphum—with Khon Kaen serving as the hub. The ceremony, presided over by Khon Kaen Vice Governor Yutthaporn Pirunsan and attended by the Khon Kaen Charitable Foundation Committee, distributed a total of 2,255,000 baht. Earlier in June and September 2026, the foundation had already awarded 1,500 primary scholarships and 910 continuing and final-year scholarships for secondary, vocational, and university levels, bringing the year’s total educational support to 17,870,000 baht. The foundation highlighted its 116-year mission to relieve suffering and foster life through education.
