Police Raid Karaoke Bar, Arrest Three Over Child Sexual Exploitation
Police arrested three women at a karaoke bar in Ratchaburi's Photharam district for allegedly exploiting minors in sexual services, with victims as young as under 15 earning 1,000–1,200 baht per transaction.
On September 14, 2026, Lieutenant Colonel Withaya Sripraseritpap, commander of the Ratchaburi Provincial Police Office, ordered officers led by Captain Alongkot Kachang and Senior Sergeant Pansawalee Khloyrayab to arrest three women: Ms. Sangwan (surname withheld), 49; Ms. Nattanichaa (surname withheld), 26; and Ms. Phattarawee (surname withheld), 38. All three face arrest warrants from Ratchaburi Provincial Court on charges of conspiracy to commit human trafficking for child prostitution, procurement and enticement of minors for sexual services, facilitating child prostitution, and coercion of children under 15 for sexual abuse.
The investigation began after officers received information that the karaoke bar in Tha Chumpol subdistrict, Photharam district, was recruiting girls under 15, dressing them in revealing clothing, and employing them as drink servers before offering sexual services for 1,000–1,200 baht per transaction. The owner, manager, and staff acted as brokers, taking a 200-baht commission from each transaction.
Authorities also identified and assisted one additional victim, an unmarried girl under 18 who had previously worked at the establishment. All three suspects denied the charges during questioning and were transferred to the Ratchaburi Provincial Police investigation unit for legal proceedings.
