Police Arrest Three Women in Ratchaburi Child Trafficking Raid
Thai police arrested three women at a Ratchaburi karaoke bar for allegedly trafficking children under 15 for sexual exploitation. The suspects denied the charges and face multiple counts including child trafficking and forced prostitution.
Ratchaburi — 14 September 2026. Thailand's Crime Suppression Division's Human Trafficking Suppression Division arrested three women accused of conspiring to traffic children for prostitution at a karaoke bar in Ratchaburi province. Police Maj. Gen. Witthaya Sriprasertphap, commander of the Human Trafficking Suppression Division, ordered officers from Division 5 to conduct the operation.
The suspects were identified as women aged 49, 26, and 38. They were arrested at a karaoke bar in Tha Chumphon subdistrict, Photharam district. All three were wanted under arrest warrants issued by Ratchaburi Provincial Court on charges including conspiracy to traffic children for sexual exploitation, procuring minors aged 15 or younger for prostitution, facilitating prostitution, and forcing children to engage in sexually exploitative activities.
The investigation began after police received information that the bar was employing girls under 15 as hostesses. According to authorities, the girls were dressed provocatively and worked as drinking companions before allegedly being offered sexual services for 1,000-1,200 baht per encounter. The bar owner, manager, and staff allegedly took 200-baht commissions from each transaction.
Police also identified and assisted another alleged victim under 18 who previously worked at the venue. A multidisciplinary team was engaged to provide protection and psychological support in accordance with victim assistance procedures. All three suspects denied the charges during questioning and were transferred to Division 5 for further legal proceedings.
