Premium Thai Ice Cream Shop Opens in Lopburi
A Bangkok engineer turned entrepreneur has opened Thai Ice Cream Chainat in Lopburi, blending Thai flavors with Italian gelato techniques using premium, naturally-sourced ingredients across 30+ varieties.
Today, journalist Kritcharee Sonsai from Khao Sod news in Lopburi visited Thai Ice Cream Chainat. The shop was created by Nonthana Tunsomkit, also known as Jack, a telecommunications engineering graduate from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, who left his job at a private company in Bangkok to follow his dream. He opened a premium homemade ice cream shop that blends Thai ice cream with Italian gelato style, featuring a smooth, firm, creamy texture that melts quickly in the mouth. Every step involves carefully selecting premium ingredients, developing formulas, and personally controlling temperatures to ensure freshness daily. The shop offers over 30 flavors with no artificial colors or flavorings, deriving all color and aroma naturally from the raw ingredients themselves. Flavors include taltonod, durian, young coconut, premium milk, Yakult, Pocari, tamarind-lemon, dark chocolate, Thai tea, green tea, Ovaltine, and coffee, plus various blended ice creams and drinks. The shop sells at the counter, by retail and wholesale, and offers home delivery starting at just 35 baht per cup, or by half-kilogram to kilogram portions, or bulk scoops of 80-100 cups for events. Thai Ice Cream Chainat is located at 32/2 Kanchanakum Road, Tha Hin Subdistrict, Muang District, Lopburi Province.
