Thailand's Ratchanok Intanok, seeded seventh and ranked seventh in the world, secured her opening-round victory before losing to China's Chen Yufei at the 2026 China Open Super 1000 tournament in Hangzhou. The event carries a prize pool of $2 million (roughly 68 million baht). On July 24, 2026, seventh-seeded Intanok took on fourth-seeded Chen Yufei of China in the quarterfinals of the women's singles competition. Intanok made a strong start, winning the first game decisively, but the home favorite rallied back to defeat her 21-15, 12-21, 13-21. Intanok's tournament run ended at the quarterfinal stage.
