Siam Piwat Launches Icon Phuket, a 10-Billion-Baht Global Destination

Siam Piwat unveiled Icon Phuket, a 10‑billion‑baht landmark project set to open in 2029 that will combine retail, attractions and entertainment while promoting sustainable development. The initiative aims to create 50,000–80,000 jobs, support southern Thai SMEs, and serve as the heart of a larger 50‑billion‑baht mixed‑use mega‑project. By linking the strengths of 14 southern provinces, Icon Phuket is intended to become a new global destination for Thailand.

Icon Phuket will be developed as a hybrid retail‑attraction and entertainment destination featuring twelve world‑class attractions, with an opening scheduled for 2029. Sustainability is central to the plan: more than 40 % of the site will be green space and outdoor gardens, and smart‑city technologies will be applied to energy, water, waste and traffic management to balance economic growth, social well‑being and environmental protection.

The project is expected to generate 50,000 to 80,000 jobs and provide a platform for small and medium enterprises, community businesses and local products from the 14 southern provinces to reach global markets. Icon Phuket will also serve as the centerpiece of the larger Synthesis Ark Phuket mixed‑use mega‑project, which exceeds 50 billion baht in value and spans over 500 rai, integrating housing, hotels, offices, international schools, wellness and beauty centers; the first phase is slated for completion by 2032.

Siam Piwat is pursuing the initiative through a co‑creation approach, collaborating with government agencies, private partners, local communities and networks across the south to gather knowledge and identities, and to formulate a “Southern Thailand Vision Master Plan” that links regional potential to investment, trade and economic opportunities. Further details will be released soon.
