On 5 October 2026, Sopon Sarum, President of the National Assembly and President of the House of Representatives, serving as President of the King Prajadhipok Institute Council, joined council members and institute executives at the King Prajadhipok Institute Council meeting. The meeting considered the approval of the names of participants who had completed various training courses, as well as the approval of the annual expenditure budget for fiscal year 2027 and the supplementary budget. Concerning the supplementary budget, the President of the King Prajadhipok Institute Council stressed that organizing training programs requires setting measurable indicators or KPIs that can be genuinely assessed and aligned with the courses, so that it can be determined whether trainees apply the acquired knowledge and skills to benefit and concretely advance their agencies' work. He also urged ongoing monitoring and evaluation to ensure the training produces real results. Regarding the request to extend the second-phase renovation of the institute's permanent office building, the President highlighted budget management observations, noting that the institute enjoys certain privileges relative to other agencies, and therefore should manage the allocated budget to maximize benefits and spend it in line with the submitted objectives and details. He added that government budget allocations are based on each agency's necessity; thus, once the budget is allocated, it should be used to achieve maximum benefit and reflect the agency's management efficiency.
