Social Security Board Election Indefinitely Postponed Amid Court Challenge
A legal challenge filed with the Administrative Court has prompted the Social Security Office to consider indefinitely postponing its board election pending a court ruling on registration procedures.
At 6:56 p.m. on July 27, 2023, Sahasavat Kumkhong, Chachoengsao MP from the People's Party, posted on Facebook stating that the Social Security board election may be postponed indefinitely after someone filed a case with the Administrative Court questioning whether the election registration procedures comply with the law. He reported that the Social Security Office is considering delaying the election pending a court ruling on the matter. Sahasavat urged the Social Security Office to issue a prompt clarification to prevent allegations that this is a political maneuver.
