Staff Bus Overturns Into Canal, Over 30 Injured
A staff transport bus flipped into Lamwayling Canal in Chachoengsao province on September 7, injuring more than 30 employees when the driver lost control while attempting to correct a wheel that had fallen into a road shoulder groove.
A staff transport bus lost control, flipped on its side, and plunged into Lamwayling Canal on September 7, leaving more than 30 employees injured in the Bang Samak subdistrict of Bang Pakong district, Chachoengsao province. According to preliminary investigation of the driver, the bus was traveling on its normal route to drop off employees when the front wheel fell into a road shoulder groove. The driver attempted to reverse and correct the vehicle, but the bus suddenly lost traction, flipped sideways, and slid into the canal. Rescue personnel and local volunteers mobilized quickly with cutting equipment to assess the situation and provide urgent assistance. Nearly 30 injured employees were safely extracted from the bus and transported to Chularatna 11 Hospital for treatment. Police continue to investigate the detailed cause of the accident.
