On July 30, Wat Chetavanam (also known as Wat Nam Dib) in Nong Paling subdistrict, Mueang district, Kamphaeng Phet province, held a Buddhist consecration ceremony for ancient-style amulets depicting the late Kruba Chokechai Chaiyavuddho during the Buddhist Lent season. Presided over by the respected monk and organized with community support to complete the temple's surrounding wall, the ceremony drew large crowds of devotees from across the region.
The revered monk spent over two hours performing the traditional consecration ritual, drawing significant interest from amulet collectors and followers both locally and from other provinces. After the ceremony, the temple distributed 1,500 kilograms of rice and blessed amulets free of charge to all attendees as a gesture of goodwill and spiritual encouragement.
A highlight of the event was the lottery number selection, where attendees sought auspicious numbers written on fruits placed on the offering altar. Numbers inscribed on an apple appeared clearly as "9," while those on bananas were interpreted differently by observers—some reading "168" and others "169"—creating excitement and smiles among the gathered devotees hoping to try their luck in the August 1st lottery draw.
