The competition was held at the Yahagi River Canoe Slalom Course. Piyanat finished eighth in the semifinal, securing the final qualifying spot. He then produced a stronger performance in the final, clocking 121.68 seconds to claim bronze. China’s Zhang Zhicheng won gold, finishing 23.59 seconds ahead of Piyanat, while Taiwan’s Cheng Wu-Chung took silver with a time of 119.09 seconds. Piyanat, a SEA Games gold medalist, is set to receive a 500,000-baht reward from Thailand’s National Sports Development Fund for his Asian Games bronze medal.
