Thai Esports Star Banned for Life After Match-Fixing Scandal
The RoV Pro League has handed a lifetime ban to Hydra Esports player Nattapong Muangpradit (WONDERWALL/Deboom) after finding he engaged in gambling and match‑fixing. Hydra Esports has terminated his contract effective 6 October 2569 and will seek fines, damages, and possible legal action. The team has yet to score any points in the ongoing season.
The RoV Pro League organizer, the professional esports league for the game RoV, announced a sanction against one of Hydra Esports’ players after discovering involvement in gambling and match‑fixing.
As a result, the player has been banned for life from competing in the RoV Pro League and any events organized by Garena, and will lose all professional rights tied to Arena of Valor (RoV).
Afterwards, Hydra Esports announced the termination of the player’s contract, identifying him as Nattapong Muangpradit (known as WONDERWALL or Deboom), effective 6 October 2569.
In addition, the club will seek fines and damages as stipulated in the contract, and consider legal action where relevant, to protect its legitimate rights and interests and to maintain competition and esports standards.
The club stressed that it has a clear stance and policy of not supporting gambling in any form, and places great importance on preserving the standards, credibility, and professionalism of the esports scene, affirming that it will strictly adhere to competition rules and standards, and will not accept any actions related to gambling or anything that could undermine the credibility and fairness of the competition.
Meanwhile, Hydra Esports’ performance in the current RoV Pro League season remains winless, having not earned a single point so far.
