On September 28, the Pheu Thai Party set up a coordination center at its headquarters on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road in Bangkok to collect and distribute aid to residents suffering from widespread flooding across the capital. The party has mobilized central kitchens from various districts to prepare cooked meals and essential supplies for distribution to affected areas.
The party is inviting the public to donate necessary items at party headquarters. Initial distribution will focus on four flooded districts still dealing with water: Lak Si (coordinator: Surachai Tianthong, secretary to the Minister of Labour and former Bangkok MP), Sai Mai (coordinator: Rattikarn Gaewgoetmee, former Bangkok MP candidate), Don Mueang (coordinator: Pumipat Hosagul, former Bangkok MP candidate), and Lat Krabang (coordinator: Theerathorn Samretwanitchakul, deputy minister to the Prime Minister and deputy Pheu Thai leader).
The party has mobilized MPs, candidates, and members to prepare aid packages for distribution. Pheu Thai will rapidly assess conditions and adjust assistance plans to meet local needs, while updating the public. Citizens wishing to contribute can bring food, consumer goods, and essential items to party headquarters.
On the afternoon of September 28, senior party figures including Phutthitham Wechayachai, Manop Charoensri, Jirachaya Suppaso, and Thongtharm Wechayachai oversaw the packing of approximately 5,000 prepared meal boxes—including chicken rice, pork basil rice, sausages, canned fish, and drinking water—for delivery by MPs to flood victims in Don Mueang, Bueng Kum, Khlong Chan flats, Lat Krabang, and nearby areas. The party has arranged trucks and boats to transport the supplies.
Pheu Thai will continue distributing food until conditions improve. On September 29, the party will set up a central kitchen and accept donations of dry food and essential supplies from the public for further distribution to affected communities.
