Thai Railways Resume Eight Eastern Line Trains as Flooding Subsides
Thai Railways has resumed eight Eastern Line train services as flooding subsides, rerouting them to Ban Thap Chang Station instead of Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Station starting September 28.
The State Railway of Thailand announced that floodwaters affecting the Eastern Line in multiple areas, including central Bangkok, are beginning to subside in some locations while remaining elevated in others. In response, the railway has adjusted its operational schedule to help passengers access other public transport connections.
Effective September 28, 2026, eight train services have been rerouted to terminate at Ban Thap Chang Station instead of Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Station, comprising four morning departures for passengers entering Bangkok and four evening departures for those leaving.
Morning services include Train 372 (Prachuap Khiri Khan to Ban Thap Chang), Train 380 (Chachoengsao to Ban Thap Chang), Train 384 (Chachoengsao to Ban Thap Chang), and Train 388 (Chachoengsao to Ban Thap Chang).
Evening services include Train 371 (Ban Thap Chang to Prachuap Khiri Khan), Train 379 (Ban Thap Chang to Chachoengsao), Train 383 (Ban Thap Chang to Chachoengsao), and Train 391 (Ban Thap Chang to Chachoengsao).
The railway apologized for the inconvenience and pledged to monitor the situation closely, reassessing conditions and adjusting schedules as needed to ensure passenger safety and convenience.
