Thai Railways Suspends Bangkok-Waterfall Weekend Trains Over Floods
Weekend train services between Bangkok and the Waterfall station in Kanchanaburi are cancelled after heavy rain caused flooding in Sai Yok National Park. The flooding has also led to the temporary closure of Sai Yok Noi Waterfall. Ticket holders can receive full refunds, and the State Railway advises the public to monitor updates via its hotline 1690.
State Railway of Thailand announced the suspension of weekend services on the Bangkok–Waterfall route due to flooding in Sai Yok National Park, Kanchanaburi. Intense rainfall and flash flooding at kilometre 195+405, close to Tham Badal cave between Nam Tok and Sai Yok Noi halt, have left standing water in the area, requiring close observation. The deluge also impacted local tourism, prompting Sai Yok National Park to close the Sai Yok Noi Waterfall temporarily from 27 September 2569 until conditions improve. Consequently, trains 909/910 running between Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) and the Waterfall station are cancelled on 3 and 4 October 2569. Passengers with advance tickets may claim full refunds at any railway ticket office across the country. The railway expresses regret for the inconvenience and advises the public to stay informed through its 24‑hour customer service hotline, 1690.
