Thai Swimmer Sky Exits 400m Mixed Relay, Mia Advances
Thai swimmer Sky Kingphoem Charppert failed to advance from 400m mixed relay qualifying, finishing 8th, while teammate Mia Miller qualified for the 200m breaststroke final with a fourth-place heat finish.
Sky Kingphoem Charppert, a Thai national swimmer, finished 8th in the second heat of the 400-meter individual medley qualifying round with a time of 4 minutes 29.97 seconds and did not advance to the gold medal round. Sky is the son of actress Metinee Kingphoem, known as Looksued. In the women's 200-meter breaststroke event, Mia Miller, a Thai-New Zealand swimmer, finished 4th in the second qualifying heat with a time of 2 minutes 16.69 seconds but qualified for the final.
In other events, Ploy Lilaina finished 6th in the women's 100-meter freestyle heat 3, and Warisara Nophthong finished 7th in heat 3 and did not advance to the medal round. Ratwitthaya Tharmnanthojarit placed first in the men's 1,500-meter freestyle group C with a time of 15 minutes 54.53 seconds. Kamonchanok Khuanmuang finished 5th in the women's 400-meter freestyle heat 2 with a time of 4 minutes 20.31 seconds, and Maria Nedelkova finished 7th in heat 2 with a time of 4 minutes 25.29 seconds. The men's 4×100-meter mixed relay team of Tannrinum Kanthimun, Marich Samrueddivech, Surasit Thongdaeng, and Pongpanot Traitan finished 4th in heat 1 with a time of 3 minutes 40.51 seconds.
