MINT announced on August 11, 2025, that its Singapore-based subsidiary MFG International Holding Pte. Ltd. has acquired 100% of Bonchon International Inc., the company owning the Bonchon brand intellectual property for markets outside the Americas. The Department of Medical Sciences, through the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, has revealed that bullying behavior is becoming increasingly severe and varied, with Thailand ranking among the world's top countries for this issue. Research shows schools are the most common location for bullying, which significantly affects children's physical and psychological development. Dr. Thaninthorn Wetchaphianan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Medical Sciences, defines bullying as intentional behavior designed to make others feel embarrassed, hurt, or distressed, with the perpetrator experiencing satisfaction from the act. Such behavior often stems from mental instability, inferiority complexes, family problems, environmental factors, emotional skill deficits, and previous victimization.

Bullying is categorized into four main types: physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying. All forms impact children across all age groups, particularly during critical developmental periods. While bullying may seem minor to adults, it can cause lasting psychological wounds manifested through behavioral changes such as school avoidance, depression, and unhappiness. Parents and guardians are encouraged to maintain regular conversations with children to create a safe environment for disclosure and to intervene when warning signs appear.

Dr. Akhorn Chaiweerawattana, Director of the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, explains that bullying occurs at all ages with different characteristics. Younger children experience physical bullying, from mild forms like teasing to severe ones like assault. Preschoolers often face verbal bullying involving mockery of parents' names, appearance, or skin color. Teenagers, during their identity-formation stage, commonly encounter bullying related to personality, social status, values, and possessions, as well as social exclusion and rumor-spreading. Cyberbullying among teenagers is particularly concerning, involving false information dissemination, unauthorized image or video sharing, and crude online comments, which may violate personal data protection laws.

Parents must give special attention to children's online activities, as these problems affect everyone, not just children. All individuals have the right to be protected from bullying, and society must take this issue seriously to safeguard children's physical and mental health.

On August 11, 2026, TikTok user @suda_zy posted a cautionary account describing how dizziness led to sudden acute kidney failure. While some might assume high salt intake was the culprit, the first question her doctor asked was whether she had consumed traditional herbal remedies or tonics, as kidney damage was severe and her blood had become heavily acidic. She denied taking herbal medicines, reporting only B vitamins for numbness and magnesium tablets for sleep issues, not continuously. Her dizziness escalated until her blood pressure reached 212, causing her body's systems to collapse. She was admitted to Sakon Nakhon Hospital and later transferred to the provincial hospital after initial treatment at a district hospital failed to improve her condition. Doctors ordered temporary dialysis as kidney function had failed, though they couldn't yet determine if it was acute or chronic due to her never having sought medical check-ups before. Brain scans, chest X-rays, and lung ultrasounds were conducted. Her primary concern throughout her emergency care was her 71-year-old mother, worrying constantly about how her mother would manage if something happened to her. Her mother cared for her completely, even struggling to walk, while also wiping her body, managing her catheter, and fanning her during the hot first night in a shared room without air conditioning. Blood pressure checks were taken every 15 minutes, but readings remained above 190. After medication adjustments on the second day, her pressure dropped to 135 and her kidneys responded well. The doctor asked if she snored, noting that her breathlessness indicated airway obstruction during sleep, which elevates blood pressure and strains kidney function. She was advised to undergo a separate sleep study. Doctors recommended she rest at home to see if her kidney function would recover, as the failure was acute. Recovery would be monitored over two weeks to determine if dialysis would become necessary. Back home, she can only eat egg whites initially and must use a cane to walk. She hopes her kidney values will improve so she can care for her mother long-term. She thanked TikTok for allowing her to share her story.

At 12:35 a.m. on August 11, 2025, Deputy Investigation Officer Somboonchai Ketumated of Talad Luang Police Station received a report of a personal vehicle colliding with a garbage collection truck with injuries in front of a convenience store at the entrance of Thung Mangkorn Soi, Phoem Ratchachonnani Road, Talad Luang District, Bangkok.

At the scene, officers found a white Mercedes-Benz registered in Bangkok with severe damage to the front fender, hood, and engine compartment. The vehicle's roof was crushed and it was left blocking the center of the road. Ms. Anantanya (surname withheld), 38, the driver, sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital for emergency care.

Nearby, the Talad Luang District Office garbage truck was parked in the left lane and was struck at the rear, sustaining damage. Mr. Gong (surname withheld), 44, was operating the garbage truck. Additionally, a motorcycle ridden by Mr. Noprat (surname withheld), 30, sustained minor damage, though neither occupant was injured. Both vehicle operators proceeded to file daily reports as evidence.

Initial investigation revealed that Mr. Noprat was riding his motorcycle along Phoem Ratchachonnani Road in the parallel lanes, leftmost lane, when approximately 20 meters before the collision point, the Mercedes suddenly struck the motorcycle's exhaust pipe with considerable force. The impact caused the motorcycle damage and the Mercedes lost control, subsequently colliding with the rear of the garbage truck.

Investigating officers have accepted the complaint and will review closed-circuit camera footage. The Mercedes driver will be summoned for questioning to proceed with legal proceedings.
