The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation announced the 2025 National Science and Technology Festival, spotlighting AI innovation and future technologies while preparing to host an international museum network conference. Deputy Prime Minister and Science Minister Prasarn Wongsuwan, along with senior ministry officials, unveiled the festival on August 10 under the concept "Intelligence in Science for a Sustainable Future," designed to harness science's power to address real social challenges, elevate the nation's workforce capacity, and demonstrate Thailand's readiness to host the international conference of global museum and science center networks from August 15–23, 2025 at Impact Muang Thong Thani.
Deputy PM Prasarn stated that the ministry prioritizes developing quality human resources to prepare Thailand for rapid changes in the AI and advanced technology era, promoting Thai youth skills in science, technology, innovation, and analytical thinking alongside ethical and creative AI use to drive sustainable economic, social, and national development. The science and technology festival serves as a key mechanism for inspiring children and youth to learn through real experience, experimentation, analysis, and self-discovery while exploring educational and career pathways in AI, science, and technology—critical strengths for Thailand's future. The festival represents the country's premier science venue and honors the scientific legacy of King Rama IV, the father of Thai science, with this year's theme reflecting the application of science, technology, and innovation to solve public challenges in health, agriculture, environment, and innovation-based economic development, elevating research from laboratories to tangible community and industrial benefits for sustainable growth.
