Thailand Natural Resources Ministry Reassigns 34 Senior Officials
Thailand's Natural Resources Ministry reassigned 34 senior officials across departments and provinces on September 24, filling vacancies created by mandatory retirements and shifting leadership in key forest and wildlife management roles.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, under Permanent Secretary Raveevan Phuridej, announced major personnel transfers on September 24, 2025. Among the 34 reassignments at level 9 and above: Prathip Hempyakkhakul moves from deputy permanent secretary to deputy director of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation. Anon Pinnoi, formerly director of the Forest Promotion Bureau under the Forestry Department, becomes director of the National Parks Office. Other senior shifts include Udomsak Palkavongsin from the Resource Management Bureau in Surin Province to head the Forest Land Management Division at the Department of National Parks. Prapas Mesuthinan, previously overseeing the conservation area in Phitsanulok, now heads the Forest Fire Prevention and Control Bureau. Somkiat Yodmali takes over leadership of the Forest Promotion Bureau, while Withaya Panjamatthai moves from Tak's Resource Management office to lead the Natural Resources and Environmental Office in Loei Province. Other reassignments span offices and departments across Yasothon, Ubonratchathani, Nakhonratchasima, Rayong, Trang, and other provinces. The transfers fill vacancies left by officials reaching mandatory retirement age.
