Thailand's Asian Games Coverage Begins September 10
Thailand will broadcast the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya across seven digital channels starting September 10, with the opening ceremony on September 19 and live coverage of Thai football matches throughout the tournament.
The Sports Authority of Thailand announced that the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, will officially open on September 19, 2026, and run through October 4, 2026. The Thai team's ceremonial uniforms, designed by the Sirivannavari brand under the concept "The Art of Unity," were created by Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana and reflect Thai identity merged with contemporary design. The uniforms incorporate hand-woven indigo-dyed cotton from Don Koi Model in Sakon Nakhon province and cotton fabrics from the royal foundation, embodying Thai pride and ensuring all Thais feel connected to their athletes.
Live broadcasts will rotate across seven digital channels including NBT, T Sports 7, Monomax Sports TV, 9 MCOT HD, One31, Thairati TV 32, and PPTV HD 36, as well as the AIS Play application. Coverage begins September 10 with basketball, while Thailand's football fixtures will receive special attention: the women's team faces Japan on September 14 at 17:30 Thailand time on PPTV HD 36, and the men's U-23 team plays Kyrgyzstan on September 16 at 14:00 on One31. T Sports 7 will broadcast daily with highlights starting September 20 at 20:30. The opening ceremony on September 19 airs on NBT, T Sports 7, and PPTV HD 36 from 16:00-18:00 Thailand time, while the closing ceremony on October 4 will broadcast on NBT and T Sports 7.
