Two Women Fined for Risky Content Stunt in Highway Tunnel

Two 20-year-old women featured in a TikTok video have been cited on five charges after stopping a motorcycle inside the Praprok highway tunnel in Nakhon Ratchasima Province to film content. The video sparked safety concerns after large tour buses passed dangerously close to the stationary bike, and investigators found the riders were not wearing helmets and the motorcycle had no side mirrors. The tunnel's red-and-white zone is designated as a no-parking area due to constant heavy and light vehicle traffic, creating serious collision and accident risks.
On September 21, 2025, Lieutenant Colonel Sirijai Srichaipon, superintendent of Muang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station, summoned the two women for legal proceedings. They face five charges related to riding a motorcycle in the tunnel zone, parking in a no-parking area, not wearing helmets, and other traffic violations. Sirijai warned that stopping in the tunnel to film content is extremely dangerous and risks encouraging copycat behavior. He urged the public to avoid creating illegal or unsafe road content and to pursue creative projects that do not endanger other road users. He stressed that tunnels and underpasses have strict usage rules, and riders must follow traffic laws strictly to prevent accidents and loss of life.
