Heavy Police Guard as Shooting Suspect Reenacts Crime Scene
Over 100 police officers secured Mae Rampung Beach in Rayong as shooting suspect Pararunyoo reenacted a fatal incident that erupted from a festival dispute and escalated through Facebook threats and a motorcycle chase.
At 10:00 a.m. on September 21, officers from Muang Rayong Police Station deployed over 100 personnel to secure the area around Mae Rampung Beach in Rayong province before bringing in Pararunyoo, alias Madiao, the suspect in a fatal shooting of a young man following a festival dispute.
Initial investigations revealed that before the incident, Madiao and the victim's group had exchanged threats and argued on Facebook. On the day of the incident, both groups encountered each other at a concert venue near Mae Rampung Beach. A physical altercation with punches broke out near the concert entrance, escalating the situation. After the groups separated, a follow-up confrontation occurred when Madiao rode a motorcycle, overtook the victim's sidecar, and opened fire. This resulted in injuries and at least one death.
Police quickly gathered evidence and located Madiao, who was arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting. At the crime scene reconstruction today, officers deployed approximately 100 personnel and positioned them carefully around the area because relatives and friends of the deceased had gathered to observe. Officers maintained strict security to prevent clashes and vigilante violence.
During the reconstruction, Madiao pointed out various locations involved in the incident, including where the initial confrontation occurred, where he chased the motorcycle sidecar, and where the shooting took place. Officers documented his statements alongside physical evidence and witness testimony.
When questioned, Madiao claimed the victim's group had shouted threats at him first and that the other party drew a weapon with apparent intent to shoot, causing him to fear for his life and fire in self-defense. However, police noted this account must be verified against witness statements, CCTV footage, physical evidence, and forensic findings to establish the true sequence of events.
The crime scene reconstruction lasted approximately 40 minutes with strict security measures in place. No clashes or violence occurred between officers and relatives of the deceased. After completion, Madiao was transferred to Muang Rayong Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Initial charges include murder, attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, carrying firearms in public without authorization, and unauthorized discharge of firearms in populated areas, among other related offenses.
