Actor Um Atichart Leads Charity Run For Health Across Thailand

Actor Um Atichart Chumnanont, chairman of Atis Med Global, has kept up a relentless schedule of charity and community service throughout September, ranging from merit-making activities in northern Thailand to religious ceremonies in Laos and a major health event in southern Thailand. In Nan province, Um partnered with local running clubs to organize the Nan City Run, a health-focused event that raises funds to build a secure storage facility for equipment at Ban Don Sri Samrong Kasikorn School, which has over 2,000 students. The idea emerged after Um repeatedly assisted flood victims in Nan and discovered that the school lacks adequate safe storage space for learning materials when floods strike, forcing staff to scramble to move equipment to safety.

As part of his outreach, Um and his team visited over 300 students with special needs at Nan Panya Nookul School, distributing food, snacks, music entertainment, and joy. After Nan, Um crossed the Mekong River to Vientiane, Laos, where he participated in a Buddhist merit-making ceremony and restoration work at an ancient temple on the riverbank. The temple is historically linked to Buddhism from over a thousand years ago during the Sai Fong era, with monks and devotees from both Thailand and Laos joining efforts to revitalize it as a spiritual center for Buddhists on both sides of the Mekong.

On September 26, Um will head south to join the Ultraman Hero Run 2026 at Hat Yai Municipal Park in Songkhla province, encouraging Thais to exercise, support children in need, and continue charitable work. Um's consistent balance of health promotion and philanthropy has earned him recognition as a 'health-minded charity actor' and fits his role as chairman of the Atis health supplement brand, which has gained wide support from health-conscious consumers across Thailand.
