Better World Green (BWG) has reaffirmed its leadership in comprehensive industrial waste management by participating in the signing of a memorandum of understanding on "Closed-Loop Resource Management for the Map Ta Phut Industrial Complex Group." The ceremony took place on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Sirikitti National Convention Center's Ballroom 1-2.
The MOU represents a major collaborative effort between the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and 24 leading national partner companies to jointly advance sustainable resource management. Industry Minister Varawut Silpaarcha presided over the opening of the I-EA-T Fair 2026 with the theme "One Mind, One I-EA-T Powering Global Industry" and participated in a panel discussion with Melinda Good, World Bank Division Director for Thailand and Myanmar, titled "Decoding Global Uncertainty: Creating Competitive Advantage for Thailand's Industrial Future."
The collaboration aims to implement circular economy and closed-loop resource management principles at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Complex, focusing on resource efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental protection. All parties commit to promoting the reuse of waste materials as energy and resource alternatives, significantly reducing the volume of waste requiring final disposal.
Chaipruk Thongpiem, manager of BWG's Alternative Energy Center, signed the agreement on behalf of the company. Although located outside the Map Ta Phut complex, BWG brings advanced technological capabilities to recover value from waste materials and produce energy, alternative resources, and high-value products aligned with circular economy principles.
Under the MOU framework, BWG will provide information on its capabilities and technology for recovering, processing, and restoring waste materials. The company will support research, analysis, and feasibility assessments for utilizing waste from Map Ta Phut factories. BWG is also prepared to participate in pilot projects and studies promoting circular economy and industrial symbiosis among manufacturers. This collaboration marks another significant step for BWG in advancing Thailand's industrial growth while maintaining environmental sustainability.
