The case involves his grandson, a 16-year-old with a broken leg who cannot walk or run, who was savagely attacked by nearly ten teenagers on August 31, 2026 at a public park in Somdej district. The attackers stabbed him in the left arm, struck him on the back, and kicked his head, causing critical injuries including brain bleeding and swelling. He underwent emergency surgery and now remains on life support in the intensive care unit at Kalasin Hospital.
The grandfather lodged a report at Somdej Police Station, but the case has made no progress. Police claim they lack time to collect medical documents and say the suspects cannot be arrested because they are minors requiring procedural steps and multidisciplinary team assessment. However, the family alleges this gang has a repeated history of similar assaults yet has never faced legal consequences, while the disabled youth lies near death in the hospital.
The boy's father, Decha, decided to escalate the complaint because the hospital completed its medical report but investigating officers said they had no time to receive it. The family has compiled police reports and medical certificates to submit to the Kalasin Justice Center, requesting the provincial police commander intervene, investigate, and direct investigators to pursue the case promptly and restore justice to the innocent young victim.
