Duck Egg Prices Up 10 Satang After Heavy Rain
Heavy rain has lowered duck egg production while feed and transport costs have risen, prompting the Duck Farmers Association to raise the farm‑gate price by 10 satang per egg to 5.10 baht, effective today. The increase represents a 3‑baht rise per tray of 30 eggs, up from the previous 5.00 baht set on July 27, 2069. Association officials say the price adjustment reflects current supply‑side pressures and rising input costs.
The Duck Farmers Association announced the price increase to its members and duck farmers nationwide, noting that the farm‑gate price has risen another 10 satang per egg, or 3 baht per tray of 30 eggs, from the previous 5.00 baht per egg set on July 27, 2069. The new price is 5.10 baht per egg, or 153 baht per tray. Sutthaya Kaeowomla, owner of SP Duck Farm in Sikhio, Nakhon Ratchasima, said the price hike stems from heavy rain that has cut egg output to about 65 % of normal, together with rising animal‑feed and transport costs driven by high fuel prices.
