Officials surveyed the damage on October 7, 2026, and estimate compensation will exceed 30 million baht at rates of 3,400 to 6,800 baht per rai for registered farmers. Farmer Ranee Mutujitr of Ban Na village reported planting 16 rai of Monthong durian, which yielded fruit for only two years before floodwaters killed six rai of trees, with more trees dying. She said the loss is painful but understandable, as many neighboring durian farms face similar devastation.
