Man Identifies Woman Behind Fake Avatar Account That Harassed Him
Finnland village headman Big Thithiwut identified a woman operating a fake account used to harass him with abusive posts; she apologized but he vowed to pursue multiple cases of online harassment to set a legal precedent.
Big Thithiwut, known as the Finnland village headman, has identified a woman operating a fake avatar account used to harass him and his basketball secretary with abusive posts. In his social media posts, Big challenged whoever was behind the account to reveal themselves, posting messages like "If you're really a fan of Big, show your face. I'm ready because I've already had four rounds of whiskey." He later went live demanding to meet the person in person.
After tracking down the account owner, Big and his secretary met with the woman. They discovered she had previously been a genuine fan but created a hidden account to post false and misleading information about Big, causing reputational damage because people believed the accusations. The woman apologized and admitted she had gone too far, pledging to stop the behavior and asking forgiveness from Big and the secretary.
However, the basketball secretary rejected the simple apology, explaining that the false accusations—which extended to attacking his family—caused real harm, especially since she had inside knowledge as a former fan and twisted it into damaging claims. Big stated that he has identified multiple fake accounts harassing him and will pursue each case to set a precedent. He warned that another account run by a fan of a female artist who accused him of running an illegal gambling website is also being tracked. Big emphasized that while he is a good-hearted person, people around him are exploiting that nature, and he vowed to take action against all future fake harassment accounts.
