Man Offers 8,900 Eggs at Shrine After Ten Lottery Wins
A Sri Racha man offered 8,900 eggs at a Chon Buri temple shrine after winning the lottery ten times, then distributed the eggs to the community and drew the lucky number 570 for the next draw.
At noon on September 6, 2025, at Woraprot Sangkhawat Temple in Ban Nang subdistrict, Phan Thong district, Chon Buri province, 44-year-old Damrong from Sri Racha brought approximately 8,900 chicken eggs to make an offering at the shrine of the ancient Thao Wessuwon deity near the temple's main hall. He explained that he came to seek blessings and good fortune after experiencing lottery wins over several consecutive draws, culminating in a major prize that fulfilled his wishes.
The ceremony proceeded with great activity as Damrong prepared an altar with red roses, red water, and plain water alongside the large quantity of eggs. He lit incense, made his prayers, and performed the traditional ritual offering. After completing the ceremony, Damrong drew another lucky number using a ping-pong ball and received the number 570, which he displayed to reporters and locals present, creating excitement among lottery enthusiasts who recorded the number for the September 16, 2025 draw.
Damrong revealed that he first encountered Thao Wessuwon when sleeping in his minivan while working as a shuttle driver. After offering prayers and requests for luck, he began experiencing small lottery wins that continued steadily. When the temple underwent renovation, he volunteered to help without accepting payment as a way to make merit with the temple.
He made a vow that if he received a substantial prize, he would return with chicken eggs, red water, and roses as an offering. After winning consistently over approximately ten draws and recently receiving a major prize, he kept his promise by bringing over 8,900 eggs to offer. Rather than taking them home, he distributed all the eggs to residents in the surrounding community to help reduce their household expenses and share the good fortune he received.
