The Thai-International Football Academy Association (TIFAA) has formally announced the TIFAA Youth League 2026/27, launching on Sunday, September 6 at TC Footballclub Rama 9. The premier youth football league brings together over 1,400 promising young Thai and half-Thai players from 102 leading academy teams.
Competitions will run from the U7 age group through U19, offering three formats: five-a-side, seven-a-side, and full 11-a-side matches. The league primarily targets students from international and bilingual schools in Bangkok and nearby areas. TIFAA believes this demographic possesses strong language skills that can help overcome a critical weakness for Thai players seeking international careers. The league also raises standards through quality referees, licensed coaches, and national-level sports psychologists supporting the youth.
Ongard Prapakamonl, head of True Visions and Media at True Corporation, the broadcaster supporting the competition, stated: "World-class footballers all start on small pitches as children. Supporting this league is not just about organizing matches—it's about creating a space for Thai youth to turn inspiration from world football into action. Young players will experience professional atmospheres early, which could drive them toward foreign leagues and eventually back to inspire Thai fans through True Visions broadcasts."
Torn Na Ranong, president of TIFAA, emphasized the association's commitment: "We are dedicated to raising Thai football academy standards to international levels. The TIFAA Youth League 2026/27 provides crucial opportunities for youth to demonstrate their potential, learn sports values, and gain real competitive experience."
The event featured a group photo with key supporters including Ongard Prapakamonl, Torn Na Ranong, Krittigor Thanmahakamol (CEO of Think Curve), Sunitra Suttakorn (Marketing Director at Rama 9 Hospital), and various TIFAA board members and youth representatives.
A major highlight for young football fans is True Visions' live broadcast partnership, streaming matches on True Ball Thai 2 through the TrueVisions NOW app. This coverage will help fulfill young players' dreams of experiencing a professional football atmosphere. Official competition begins September 6.
