After his ordination, Luang Pho Song studied at Wat Kok Phracharoen before moving to Wat Pak To to deepen his Buddhist studies. He passed the Nak Thom (triple) examination in 1924, followed by higher-level Pali exams throughout the 1920s and 1930s, eventually earning the title of Phra Pibul Thammawet in 1951. He served as abbot of Wat Yang Ngam and later returned to Wat Pak To, overseeing temple expansions, founding religious schools, and holding senior positions in the provincial monk hierarchy until his passing in 1972.
