Since opening in late 2024, Nextopia at Siam Paragon is proving that sustainability can step beyond concept and policy into genuine daily practice. The global landmark, operated by Siam Piwat, has developed Nextopia as the world's first co-creation retail space for sustainable lifestyle, combining the power of business, people, communities, and partners from diverse sectors to build a future way of living. This reflects the heart of Siam Piwat's philosophy of serving as a platform of opportunity, inviting everyone to become co-creators and drive real change.
In less than a year, the concept has produced tangible results: over 130 activities driving thought, innovation, and social value; connections with more than 100 communities; and knowledge transfer on sustainability through Nextopia Tours reaching over 5,000 Thai and international visitors. Environmental outcomes are also measurable and recognized by global standards. Nextopia is shifting from a future-city concept to a living prototype with real people, communities, data, and results as proof, becoming a key testament to Siam Piwat's role as a game-changer in retail through co-creation.
From community space to learning platform, the challenge of driving sustainability lies not only in raising awareness of environmental problems but in converting that awareness into participation, making people feel that sustainability is something they can help shape. Nextopia achieves this through over 130 activities spanning makers and crafts, biodiversity, entertainment, and wellness, connecting more than 100 communities from global organizations to government, private sector, schools, and grassroots groups. Continuously rising visitor numbers show that sustainability can become part of lifestyle when designed for accessibility and linked to daily life.
Nextopia also expands from community space into a learning platform through Nextopia Tours, teaching visitors the thinking and systems behind applied sustainability—from energy and water management to waste handling and innovation for better living. More than 5,000 Thai and international participants have taken the tours, spreading knowledge beyond the site to new generations, organizations, and communities.
Sustainability proven by numbers: beyond being a showcase, Nextopia translates environmental concepts into measurable results. Since opening, the space has reduced cumulative greenhouse gas emissions by over 281,410 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent, equivalent to annual carbon absorption.
