Police Intercept Van Carrying 464kg of Crystal Meth

At 5 p.m. on September 15, 2025, officers from the Narcotics Control Board, Region 7 Investigation Police, Prachuap Khiri Khan Highway Police Station 3, and Muang Prachuap Khiri Khan District Police arrested one suspect transporting methamphetamine. A total of 464 kilograms of crystal meth was seized. The arrest was made at the Dontraiya intersection on Sukkajit Road in Muang district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

Officers had been tracking a bronze-silver Hyundai H1 van with Bangkok license plates suspected of trafficking a large quantity of narcotics toward Songkhla province. A scout vehicle had been monitoring the route when officers moved to intercept. Upon spotting the police, the driver accelerated and fled, turning onto side roads until the van lost control near the Dontraiya intersection. The vehicle swerved, struck trees and the wall of a nearby house, sustaining severe damage and becoming immobilized.

The driver attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by police. Officers searched the van and discovered 23 sacks containing approximately 464 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. The vehicle and narcotics were seized as evidence. Police transported the suspect and evidence to Bangkok for further investigation, including tracking the supply chain, identifying the source and destination of the shipment, locating scout vehicles and accomplices, and pursuing related networks through legal channels.
