Wang Thonglang Police conducted a coordinated raid of 17 service establishments in the Lad Prao Road, Maha Thai Soi, and Town in Town areas at 23:30 on September 11, 2025, led by Deputy Commander Jetsada Yangnork and accompanied by other senior officers. Three operational teams were deployed across three zones to check patrons' and staff identification, screen for firearms and weapons, investigate human trafficking and prostitution, conduct random drug tests, and verify compliance with business hour regulations.
Inspections focused on proper licensing, preventing minors under 20 from entering, drug screening, weapon control, human trafficking prevention, prostitution prevention, operating hour compliance, noise regulation compliance, and indecent conduct prevention. A total of 98 patrons were randomly tested for drugs with no positive results. Two establishments were found in violation and referred for legal action.
Wang Thonglang Police stated this is part of a continuous operation coordinated with SWAT teams under Region 4 Police to strictly enforce service establishment compliance. The initiative, branded "Wang Thonglang Safe," aims to maintain order and security by prohibiting drugs, weapons, and minors under 20 in venues, enforcing operating hour limits, and preventing disturbances. The department continues cracking down on criminal activity, drugs, and illegal operations, particularly the entry of weapons into service establishments.
