Police Raid Bangkok E-Cigarette Network, Seize 200,000 Items
Thai police conducted a sweeping raid on nine locations in Bangkok's Thonburi area, dismantling a major e-cigarette network and seizing over 200,000 items worth more than 200 million baht. Forty-seven suspects, including Thai and foreign nationals, were arrested and have confessed to the charges. Authorities are now expanding the investigation to identify the financiers and organizers behind the operation.
The raid targeted nine sites used for storing, packing, and distributing e-cigarettes and related goods, including four storage points in Khlong San, Bang Bon, and Taling Chan districts, four online packaging and sales spots in Thadin Daeng, Khlong San, and one financial evidence storage site in Bang Bon. Officers confiscated more than 200,000 items such as e-cigarettes, e-liquid, pods, accessories, mobile phones, electronic devices, documents, financial records, and transport vehicles, valued at over 200 million baht. All forty-seven detained suspects, both Thai and foreign, confessed to the charges and were handed over to investigators for prosecution, while police continue to trace the owners, financiers, and masterminds behind the network.
