Student Arrested After Stabbing Two Classmates on Bangkok BTS
A 20-year-old university student was arrested after stabbing two classmates on a Bangkok BTS platform during a clash between students from rival institutions.
Police from Region 6 and Pathumwan Police Station have arrested a 20-year-old male student from Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Udon Thani Campus, following a clash between students from the two institutions at Siam BTS Station on the third-floor platform. The incident involved a knife attack that left two Pathumwan Institute of Technology students with stab wounds to the back. Emergency responders provided first aid and transported the injured to Police Hospital and Hua Chiew Hospital.
The arrest warrant, issued by Bangkok South Criminal Court on September 11 under case number Chor 1261/2569, charges the suspect with attempted murder and unlawfully carrying a knife in a public area. Following police investigation and witness testimony, officers tracked down and arrested the suspect, who confirmed his identity and stated he had not previously been arrested on this warrant. The suspect is now in custody at Pathumwan Police Station for further questioning and legal proceedings.
