Woman's Body Found in Bangkok Canal With Facial Injuries
An unidentified woman aged 30-40 was found dead in a Bang Bon canal on November 2 with severe facial injuries; police are investigating the cause of death.
At 11:00 AM on November 2, 2026, Bang Khun Thien Police Station received a report of a body floating in the water in Soi Bang Bon 1, Soi 20, Khlong Bang Phran subdistrict, Bang Bon district, Bangkok. Officers rushed to the scene at Khlong Phraya Ratchamontri in Bang Bon and found the body of an unidentified woman aged 30-40 floating in the water. The body was recovered for medical examination. Preliminary findings revealed severe wounds on the chin and face, though it could not be determined if the injuries occurred before or after death. A mobile phone, car keys, and a motorcycle were found on the body and kept as evidence.
From questioning a 74-year-old local resident who discovered the body, she said she was sitting eating by the canal when she suddenly saw something floating in the water. At first she thought it was a doll, but as it floated closer she was shocked because it was a corpse floating in the water.
Following this, police are gathering witnesses and evidence at the scene before sending the body for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and identify the deceased, before proceeding with further legal steps.
