Woman Threatened Over Aerobics Video Posts
A Roi Et woman sharing aerobics workout videos online received aggressive threats from someone demanding she delete posts, claiming her boyfriend watches them; the 22-year-old dismissed the threats and Computer Crime Act warning as baseless
A woman sharing aerobics workout videos online faced aggressive comments from someone demanding she delete the posts, threatening to report her under computer crime laws because the commenter's boyfriend watches the videos. The woman views the incident as humorous and has dismissed the threats, suggesting the commenter should focus on managing their own relationships and mental health instead.
Facebook user Pat Tee posted a video of herself doing aerobics when someone suddenly commented telling her to stop posting and threatened to file a report under the Computer Crime Act, claiming her boyfriend watches the videos and that her dancing was inappropriate and damaging to Roi Et province's reputation. The commenter also privately messaged her, demanding not to be called aunt or grandmother, and threatened to report her if she didn't stop posting because her boyfriend watched daily, before blocking her.
On September 25, 22-year-old Suparatana Saerlee, known as Pat Tee, told online news that on September 23 she filmed an aerobics workout at a gym in Roi Et province with the camera positioned on the ground, creating an upward angle. She explained she regularly records her workout sessions before posting them to her own channel. The commenter claimed the dancing was seductive and harmful to the province's image.
Pat Tee said she finds the situation amusing because she wears standard comfortable workout clothes that absorb sweat well, and many fans watch her videos regularly. She noted that while everyone is entitled to their opinion, she doesn't take the comments seriously since anyone can comment online. Regarding the threat to file a Computer Crime Act report, Pat Tee expressed no concern, believing such a case would not hold up legally.
She concluded by urging people who leave such comments to stop, calling it a social menace. She advised them to manage their own relationships rather than targeting others, and if they cannot do that, they should work on their own mental health instead of taking it out on others.
