Worker Killed in Bangkok Construction Site Soil Slide
The man was trapped about three meters underground when a soil slide occurred at a construction site on Sukhumvit 71 in Bangkok. Rescue teams recovered his body and pronounced him dead at 19:50. Police have taken over the investigation.
A man trapped about three meters underground died after a soil slide at a construction site in Soi Pradipat Niyom 14, Sukhumvit Road 71, North Phra Khanong, Watthana District, Bangkok. At 18:47, one person was reported trapped. Firefighters and Poh Khong rescue volunteers rushed to the scene and arrived at 19:02, finding the man about three meters below ground. Rescue efforts began immediately. By 19:50, the Rama 199 Radio Center announced the man had died. Rescue workers brought his body to the surface and handed it over to local police for further investigation.
