Deputy Education Minister Akkhranon Kankhittinanon, accompanied by Phakwat Srisurapol, assistant secretary to the education minister, visited remote schools in Khon Kaen province on September 5, 2026, to inspect building repairs and deliver a piano from Mahidol University to support music education. Officials gathered feedback from education staff to address infrastructure needs, resource gaps, and welfare concerns specific to each area.
Akkhranon stated that the Education Ministry is prioritizing efforts to reduce inequality and develop schools in remote areas, with particular focus on building safety and student health. He emphasized that damaged facilities must be repaired urgently to provide safe learning environments. The piano donation aims to help students explore musical talents and develop potential alongside academic learning.
"Remote schools must not be neglected. We are ready to listen to all real-world problems, from infrastructure to resource shortages and people's welfare, so support reaches schools accurately and no child is left behind," Akkhranon said.
During the visit, officials monitored repairs and presented pianos at Wiangvongkot School in Wiangkao District and Phuwiangvit School in Phuwiangwang District. They also inspected Nongsang School in Nongruea District and Nongbua Community School in Banfang District to hear concerns and gather suggestions for targeted education support.
