Police have taken the 40-year-old suspect into custody after he turned himself in through family members at Sao Hai Police Station in Saraburi Province. The shooting occurred inside a temple in Uthai District, Ayutthaya Province, on the evening of September 7. The victims were a 44-year-old man, found dead in a pickup truck, and a 44-year-old woman who was critically injured and later died at Uthai Hospital.
Police have collected forensic evidence from the suspect, including fingerprints, DNA samples, and gunpowder residue tests on both hands. The suspect told investigators he discarded the gun while fleeing the scene; authorities are now searching for the weapon to use as evidence. The suspect's sister revealed that her brother had been in a 10-year relationship with the woman and they shared two children before separating. She said she was shocked when he came to her and confessed to shooting his ex-partner and another man, after which she convinced him to return to their home in Saraburi Province and surrender to police.
Both bodies have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine under the Ministry of Justice in Pathum Thani Province for autopsy and evidence examination. Police are continuing their investigation, gathering evidence, tracking the suspect's escape route, and searching for the firearm used in the shooting to proceed with legal charges.
