Four Arrested in Drug Bust on Rama II Road
Traffic police arrested four people on Rama II Road in Bangkok after discovering methamphetamine pills and crystal meth in their vehicle. All suspects tested positive for drug use and admitted to prior drug consumption during questioning. They face multiple charges including drug possession, drug use, and driving under the influence.
On August 22, 2025, at 11:10 p.m., traffic police officers under the command of Pol. Col. Damrong Swangngam established a checkpoint on Rama II Road near the Samsen District Highway Office in Bangkok to test for alcohol levels and prevent crime. Officers stopped a white and black vehicle carrying four male and female occupants who displayed suspicious signs consistent with drug use. A search revealed nine methamphetamine tablets hidden in the storage space between the driver and passenger seats, and one clear plastic ziplock bag containing approximately 0.58 grams of crystal meth concealed in the undergarment of a female passenger.
All four suspects admitted to prior drug use and voluntarily underwent drug testing at a hospital, all testing positive for drug substances. The primary suspect and a second suspect faced charges of illegal methamphetamine possession, drug use, and driving under the influence, while the second suspect also faced charges of illegal crystal meth possession. The third and fourth suspects were charged with illegal methamphetamine possession and drug use. Officers transported all suspects and evidence to Tha Khram Police Station for further legal proceedings.
